Brief field recording inside a New York Subway, the F Train. The decibels were pushing the built-in mics on my Marantz recorder to the limit, but there’s still usable material here for ambience. Included are some passenger walla and also some conductor announcements which, if nothing else, make great reference material for creating your own.
I’ve put this recording in the Public Domain, so please feel free to make use of it however you like without condition.

A good recording, Phil. That hiss of the air in the Subway is annoying, but around the half-way point the switch to louder train sounds makes it very interesting. Thanks for posting this!
