Great job Phil and Ricky. The one thing that stood out for me was the screening of Clear Skies. I wasn’t planning to watch it, figuring I could see it in hi-res later, but I stuck around after the awards ceremony just to hang around for a while, and I was glad I did. First of all, it was an amazing movie, but beyond that, the commentary and dialog with the director, Ian Chisholm during the showing, added so much, and I realized that that backchannel was something that could not have been done in real life.

I share your exhausted enthusiasm, Phil. You are so right that our machinima community has some amazing people in it. The patience, as you mention, the fun, the focused questions and challenging discussions all got me so excited I could hardly sleep last night. The women’s panel was a highlight for me; Ingrid did a fantastic job moderating that panel. The whole event came off so well and much of it was because of you and your commitment to making the Expo a great event. I can’t imagine the hours you put in despite your family commitments and a decline in the business you help manage. Words just are adequate to describe my gratitude.
However, I never saw the microphone guy and now I’m stuck with the image of some guy with a pole up…well, you know what I mean. No thanks for that image in my head all day, Phil.

Damn!!! I don’t know if you saw me there but I kept logging on and getting booted off — something about an overloaded node. I’m so pissed I missed most of it as I was so looking forward to this event. I’ve heard that it was just fantastic thru and thru. I’m gonna go cry now… either that or I’ll try finding that guy with the expo’s microphone in his butt and get it back for ya… that is if ya still want it.
