Sounds like a good idea to me. Hell, I'd shine up the mic and bring the coffee for Phil.

Tied up tonight, but I'll give the show a listen tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Tom said "I think it is about time to make show about you - for example you can invite gToon to make one show where he is host and you guest."

Seconded. Let's make this happen. We'll have to tie Phil down and force him to do it. He hates talking about himself, or having any attention thrust on him whatsoever.

If anybody's interested, I've created a last.fm group for Machinima makers and fans. Go join, at

One quick note as I'm listening - we actually mentioned 3 people at Short Fuze:

- Matt Kelland, Creative Director (I think)
- Dave Lloyd, CTO/Lead Programmer
- David Bailey, CEO.

Enjoyed the interview guys. I am amazed at how much H&J pack into their lives..and how coherent they managed to be after a late night and the hospitality of Short Fuze.

Phil, like always, great show. And I think it is about time to make show about you - for example you can invite gToon to make one show where he is host and you guest.
Ricky, do you read this?
About "...Machinima is just a tool..." statement, I couldn't agree more. Nobody from "outside" care about Machinima - when they care, they care about movie, not the tool - and this is the audience I care for my movies.
But what shocked grumpy old naive me, is fact that large part of Machinima community don't care much for non game movies either.
It is OK after all, Machinima is wonderful tool and if its popularity depends of games, so be it. Movie making is not about community, it is about stories and - what a thought - about movies.
What I found wonderful in Machinima is real-time part and that part definitely need term as "Anymation" because it is generous and it don't require... marriage or some twisted version of Stockholm syndrome.
So, my next Circus movie will not be Cirque du Machinima. First one is invited for some festivals and I don't know is it wise to change title right now, but second will definitely be Circus of Anymation.
I bought anymation.org domain but it seems that I cant find time to build proper site - not everybody have hidden army like Phil - so if somebody with time and knowledge find concept of Anymation worth dealing with, please contact me. Maybe it is time for first Machinima spin off.
