As for the "The Fixer", I agree it had style, but referring to women as "bitches" was about as pleasant as hearing African-Americans called "niggers". If the anti-hero was supposed to be a detached sociopath, he should not have used such an emotionally charged word. The story betrayed itself. Better dialogue would have had the anti-hero genuinely disconnected from the other characters, perhaps perplexed at their actions the hero could not understand due to said detachment. You have a great blog, but I saw "The Fixer" as something that could have been great, but was ironically ruined by the author's own sociopathic tendencies.

A good show packed with content, Ov. Enjoyed the machinima reviews in particular. I sure know what you mean about a film or filmmaker spoiling cinema for you. Fincher is a guy who does that to a lot of people. Guy Maddin and Wong Kar Wai are directors who do it for me. Thank God, we get over it. "Body Spray" WTF? And I deliberately stopped playing Elder Scrolls: Oblivion because I could feel it start to snake it's deadly tendrils into my brain. Poor Mu, he's lost, man. hahaha. The visuals are amazing even on a mid level machine. And the game play is almost completely free-form. Walking through the space you can see all kinds of machinima possibilities. This game is a real masterwork. No wonder everyone is addicted (except me).

Just got the new DivX and it's excellent. Will be encoding a bunch of stuff soon. Thanks for the tip on the Acid upgrade. I'll look in to that.

Sure enjoy the show, Overman. Thank you!
