Now you know why the show is called “approxi-weekly.”  After several weeks off, this week attempts to play catch-up on some of what has been happening both inside and outside the machinima and animation communities.  Included are a handful of machinima recommendations, lots of news, and a bit of fun as well.

Thanks for listening! Let me know what you think.

    Thanks for the plug.. (eep!)

Tom did his two films in Poser (99% sure of it)

Your “news” reports.. still stung.. *sigh* I’m never going to let go am I? :-(

Too many items.. not enough time..

Thanks for new show, Phil. Please, don’t let us waiting so much for next episode. I don’t have time for socialising or tracking Machinima news lately and your show is my main catching up tool. So, if something isn’t on your show, for me it isn’t anywhere. Be aware of that. Or else…
Ben, about “Circus Anymation”, both movies I did in MotionBuilder. But you are almost right about Poser, too; all models are imported from Poser via DazStudio and fbx exporter. Fbx format preserved bone system, textures, all, so it is extremely easy to import and animate all Poser or DazStudio assets but with all benefits of real time engine of MotionBuilder.

Good cast! Thanks for the heads up about Afterworld; looks intriguing. And also for TubeMogul.

The news flashes were a hoot!! Poor intrepid yet lonely Jeff Daniels. ;)

Great question about the many streaming outlets. I’m trying to create relationships with members of the different outlets, watching and commenting on as many of their videos as I can, but with the exception of a few, I don’t meet many people who overlap multiple sites. What I find is that folks camp out on one and make that their main social hang out. So many posters, so little time!

And my only machinima-related spam comes from the account I have at MySpam… I mean MySpace.

I wonder how many plumbers are on staff at that restroom. And what happens to the water pressure if 500 or so people flush at the same time? LOL!

Great show Phil. Funny you were wondering where everyone was, and I was wondering where the heck did Overman go?? lol. I’m with Tom on this tho, please don’t keep us waiting so long, your podcast is “the news” for me.

Thanks for all the great machinima news Phil (and uh non-machinima news)! I’m glad you found time in your hectic life to inform us all. Btw, you did a great job pronouncing Kate’s handle (that is how she pronounces it as I’ve been told by her- a sneeze) but you could’ve done better with mine. ;) Decor (as in decoration) + gal. Thanks for the plug- I feel privileged to be on your radar. :D

Yo. Thx for the kind words.

Afterlife - I think there were problems with the bud.tv promotional aspect, as that seems to have been dropped.

    Multiple video websites = http://www.webtvwire.com/heyspread-a-how-to-guide-for-uploading-video-clips-to-multiple-sites/

It’s summer time. Time to enjoy the great outdoors.

On the topic of creepiness, puppetry and Alice in Wonderland: there’s a really disconcerting and surreal 1988 stop-motion animation and film adaptation of the story by Jan Svankmajer called “Neco z Alenky”

    Here’s a clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zYSv-5R_Hs

Here’s a reference (the IMDB page is lacking): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_(1988_film)

I am very glad you mention Svankmajer, he is pure genius. Here are some clips from “Alice”:

and if somebody want to see complete “Alice” I will give him torrent link (700 mb). Wonderful movie.

Thanks for the mention Phil. I don’t know if I’ll manage 70 beta (B) movies before the full version of Moviestorm comes out but it’s fun to try. Interesting links everyone.
